2025 Dodge Durango Performance & Specs

Besides celebrating the life of the Dodge Durango, we are also celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the iconic HEMI engine. The Durango stands alone as the only vehicle in its class powered by such brute force. There are two options for this year. The first is the 5.7L HEMI V8. The second is a Supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8.

The 5.7L HEMI will net you 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The supercharged engine delivers an astounding 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. You read that right! This is an SUV that is faster than almost every sports car on the market, with a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds. And it undoubtedly stands tall as the fastest three-row SUV in the world.

Besides the HEMIs, there is also a Pentastar engine option. The 3.6L V6 nets you 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This provides plenty of power for daily driving while offering better fuel efficiency than its V8 siblings.

2025 Dodge Durango Capability

The available AWD system helps not only with acceleration but also provides incredible stability in all weather conditions.

With great power comes great capability. The Supercharged engine allows you to tow up to 8,700 lbs. The base models still pull a respectable 7,400 pounds. The Pentastar tows up to 6,200 lbs. The Pentastar also gets surprisingly good mileage, achieving up to 26 mpg on the highway.

2025 Dodge Durango Interior

Of course, the Durango also remains functional. This three-row SUV has 85.1 cubic feet of cargo space and over 50 seating configurations. With the Fold & Tumble second row and 60/40 split-folding second and third row, you can transform the interior to meet your exact needs.

At the end of the day, all that power means nothing if you aren't comfortable in the cabin. Thankfully, the 2025 Dodge Durango's interior is as luxurious as it gets for a super SUV of its type. It features luxurious materials like Nappa and Laguna leather. The seats have 12-way power adjustability with heating to keep you comfortable in any weather.

2025 Dodge Durango Exterior

If there's one thing the Dodge Durango is known for, it's that it doesn't look like other three-row SUVs. The Durango sports a more muscular stance and chiseled lines that set it apart from the crowd. The design adds to the performance, too, with hood vents and indented sides that improve aerodynamics.

You can add optional dual racing stripes by Mopar on the hood and roof to make a statement. These stripes match well with any of the nine exterior color choices available for the 2025 model.

The Stow N Place Roof Rack System can handle up to 150 pounds of additional cargo.

2025 Dodge Durango Technology & Safety

You can never have too much tech, but there is more technology than you need in the new Durango. All trim levels get a 10.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment. You can connect your phone via wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and interact with it through the latest Uconnect 5 system.

Play your favorite tunes, and the crystal-clear sound will come through the 19-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Audio System with an 825-watt Amplifier. Safety-wise, you also have plenty of technology to keep you safe. The Durango includes Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection.

There are also specific features for towing, like the Blind Spot Monitoring with Trailer Tow Detection System.

2025 Dodge Durango Trim Levels

The 2025 Dodge Durango trim you choose will depend on your budget and needs, but you'll find all the information you need to make a choice here.

GT

We begin with the base GT trim, one that comes standard with the Pentastar V-6 engine. It already has a large touchscreen, though the sound system is slightly smaller. It is still an Alpine Sound system with impressive audio quality.

The GT features ParkSense Front and Rear Park Assist and has available AWD. It comes with heated front seats and a steering wheel. Plus, the driver has 8-way power adjustability. Tri-zone automatic temperature control enhances comfort as well.

The GT rides on 20-inch Fine Silver Aluminum Wheels, which gives it a premium appearance right from the start.

R/T

If you want a HEMI engine, this is the minimum you need to get. The R/T comes with the 5.7L base HEMI with Performance steering and suspension.

Another option is to go for the R/T Plus, which adds Nappa Leather and heated second-row seats. The Plus also adds a 115-volt auxiliary power outlet, flat-bottom steering wheel, and power sunroof.

R/T Premium

This trim level is where things get fancy. The wireless charger finally makes an appearance, so you can charge your devices more easily. Simply place your compatible phone on the charging pad and power up without cables.

The sound system also gets an upgrade to the 19-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Audio System.

The carbon fiber interior accents are beautiful and modern. The premium hand-wrapped instrument panel gives a nice touch of craftsmanship. Outside the vehicle, you'll find black roof rails and rain-sensing wipers that automatically adjust to precipitation intensity.

R/T 20th Anniversary

This trim level is the ultimate package for those who want to celebrate the 20-year anniversary. It comes with run-flat tires with Brembo Brakes. There is also a high-performance exhaust that provides a more aggressive sound befitting a vehicle with this level of performance.

The Bilstein active damping suspension and Active Noise Control provide a comfortable ride without sacrificing performance. The interior gets upgraded to SRT performance seats that provide excellent support.

SRT Hellcat

If you know Dodge, you know the name Hellcat represents the pinnacle of performance. This is the only trim level to come standard with the Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine and rides on 20-inch wheels designed specifically for high-performance applications.

It has three special editions to choose from. The Hammerhead Special Edition has a Night Moves exterior color and gray Laguna leather inside. The Silver Bullet Special Edition uses a Triple Nickel paint job with Metallic Hellcat Badging. Finally, the Brass Monkey Edition sports Laguna leather seats and has a Red Oxide body color.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the 2025 Durango different from the 2024 Dodge Durango?

The 2025 model streamlines the lineup with fewer trims. Dodge extended production an extra year to celebrate the HEMI's 20th birthday with a special edition. While 2024 was planned as the finale, we get one more year to enjoy this legend. The new Hellcat editions bring fresh style options but keep the same amazing performance underneath.

What are this year's Dodge Durango colors?

Eight stunning colors await your selection: Diamond Black, Octane Red, White Knuckle, Red Oxide, Destroyer Gray, Triple Nickel, Vapor Gray, and Night Moves.

Why is the Dodge Durango getting discontinued?

It's to make room for the Stealth, a more futuristic version of this SUV that will be built on Stellantis' STLA Large architecture. That means they can eventually make an electric vehicle out of it, too. While we'll miss the Durango, the future looks bright with innovative new vehicles on the horizon.
